Media Talent and Personality

Danny DeCrescenzo is an award-winning radio news anchor, writer, and producer at New Jersey 101.5 and other iHeartMedia-affiliated stations, delivering live newscasts at the top and bottom of the hour, and exercising editorial discretion of stories. He is also responsible for producing digital content for NJ1015.com. Shortly after being hired, he joined SAG-AFTRA.

Danny began his his career just weeks after he completed his undergraduate studies at Hofstra University. At Hofstra, he graduated summa cum laude a degree in Audio/Radio Production and minors in Creative Writing and Political Science. He was honored as the Senior of the Year in his degree program, completed a thesis on broadcast media reform, and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha and the Phi Beta Kappa Society. At 88.7 FM WRHU, Hofstra's four-time Marconi Award-winning radio station, Danny served as the Program Director of Talk for 2023 after significantly revitalizing the station's morning drive talk show the year prior. Danny was named one WRHU's Air Talents of the Year three times.

Before Danny started working with iHeart, he was a weekend news anchor and sportswriter at 77 WABC Radio. He has interned with Fox News Radio's Podcasts and New Media division in New York City and as part of the show team for The Source with Kaitlan Collins on CNN.

Outside of his main roles in broadcast, Danny is the Chief Content Officer for the Normandy Basketball League based in Middletown, New Jersey, heading social media, stat logging, and play-by-play commentary. He also is a freelance PA announcer for high school sports in his native Monmouth County and beyond.
