Danny DeCrescenzo is an award-winning radio news anchor, writer, reporter, and producer. He is set to join KCBS in San Francisco in November 2025 as a full-time News Anchor and Reporter. Danny spent the first year-and-a-half of his career at New Jersey 101.5 and other iHeartMedia-affiliated stations, delivering live newscasts at the top and bottom of the hour, creating social media content, and exercising editorial discretion of stories. Shortly after being hired, he joined SAG-AFTRA.
Danny began his career just weeks after he completed his undergraduate studies at Hofstra University, where he graduated summa cum laude a degree in Audio/Radio Production and minors in Creative Writing and Political Science. He was honored as the Senior of the Year in his degree program, submitted and defended a thesis on broadcast media reform, and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha and the Phi Beta Kappa Society. At 88.7 FM WRHU, Hofstra's four-time Marconi Award-winning radio station, Danny served as the Program Director of Talk for 2023 after revitalizing the station's morning drive talk show the year prior. Danny was named one of WRHU's Rookies of the Year and was one of the station's Air Talents of the Year in three consecutive years.
While in college, Danny was a weekend news anchor and sportswriter at 77 WABC Radio. He has interned with Fox News Radio's Podcasts and New Media division in New York City and with the show team for The Source with Kaitlan Collins on CNN.
Outside of his main roles in broadcast, Danny is pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence from Belhaven University online. He also is a media and operations consultant for a local men's basketball league in his hometown.
